Deuteronomy 31:8

Why I feel called to the Principal position at Taree Christian College

Ultimately I believe God decided. He made everything about relocating fall into place. When God decides, it happens! I also believe that it is good to work in different schools. By doing this, you take with you good ideas and practices and this can help improve the next school. I also enjoyed working in the country and was very pleased to be offered the position. I really like looking after people and I guess the best position in a school to help staff, students and parents is being at the top!

What I desire for students to take with them when they graduate from Taree Christian College

First and foremost, I do pray that they each have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. When this happens, life has true meaning. Secondly, I would hope that students leave with a servant attitude. This means they don’t think selfishly but rather selflessly. Imagine a world where people truly care about others. Thirdly, I would like students to leave having reached their God-given potential with the skills and knowledge to survive and thrive in the adult world.

Why is Christian Education important for children?

In a Christian school, we teach the same content as in any other school.

We do have to follow the NSW syllabuses, however, we teach this content through a Christian perspective. This means we contextualise the content of the syllabus into God’s plan and creation.
