Why I teach at Taree Christian College

Taree Christian College is an excellent school with great students, set amongst beautiful surroundings. It is a Christian school with all Christian staff who genuinely care and want the best for their students. A real sense of community exists at TCC, where students, parents and staff engage positively together. I greatly value that, as a Christian College, we get to share our faith in Jesus with our students.

What do you love about educating children?

I love that God has created each child with his/her own unique gifts, talents and personality, making teaching both an interesting and rewarding career. I love the smiling faces of the children each morning. I love engaging and motivating them about learning and watching the joy on their faces as they grasp a new concept for the first time.

Why is Christian Education important for children?

I believe that Christian education makes teaching biblical values and principals a priority. Christian education is not only about teaching with excellence, it aims to empower children to become all that God created them to be.

Tell us about your family

I have a gorgeous wife, Kylie, who keeps me organised and our large family humming along. This year we celebrate 19 years of marriage. We both feel abundantly blessed to have three wonderful boys, Jordan, Harrison and Lachlan; and our fourth gift from the Lord, a little princess, Ava. We enjoy fishing, swimming, playing backyard cricket and spending the summer holidays at Blackhead. On Sundays we go to church together as a family at Manning Valley Covenant Ministries.
