The Learning Centre
Learning support is administered from the College’s Learning Centre. Currently there are six teachers' – aides and a learning support teacher who offer assistance both in the classroom and in The Learning Centre. Daily programs include individual, small group and class support in Literacy and Numeracy. This encourages and enables students to extend their skills and abilities.
The Learning Centre utilises physical and academic programs to assist students to achieve their personal best, including provision of weekly Kindergarten readiness sessions in Semester 2.
Lunchtime play support is also offered in a controlled and quiet indoor environment.
A new area called The HUB supports secondary students with exam, assessment task and assignment support as well as providing a quiet workspace for students at all stages of learning, needing encouragement with class tasks or space to explore extension lesson content.
